DV-REC

VDG Europe has added licence plate recognition to their existing DV-REC product, by integrating the INTRADA ALPR library with their own software. DV-REC is a digital CCTV management system, designed for the surveillance and recording of video data from up to 16 cameras simultaneaously.

DV-REC equipped with licence plate reader is being used throughout Europe to block non-paying users from gas stations. The moment a known non-payer drives his vehicle up to the pump, its licence plate will be read by the DV-REC software. The pump will be shut down making it impossible for the person to fill up.
