Q-Free has secured a contract to develop and implement a national electronic road-user charging system in its home country of Norway. The contract includes full replacement of the central systems for electronic toll collection in Norway (AutoPASS), which will be gathered into one national system. Starting from November 2007, all transactions generated by traffic through all AutoPASS toll stations in the country will be handled by the new system. Intrada ALPR will be used in the central system to deal with the large variety of images delivered by the toll stations.
