Mobile parking enforcement in Amsterdam
The Amsterdam City's Park Division ordered 300 handheld computers from ICT-company Simac. The handhelds will be used to easily detect and fine unauthorized parked vehicles.
Each system uses the INTRADA HandHeld library for automatic license plate recognition. The mobile device contacts the database with parking permits using a GPRS connection. For unauthorized parked vehicles a fine is issued automatically.

Section control: active on Dutch A4
Starting from the 1st of September, section control (point-to-point measurement) will be applied on the Dutch A4 between Hoofddorp and Nieuw-Vennep to detect speeding vehicles.
This section control project has been completed by Gatsometer BV, using Dacolian software for vehicle pool-matching and final identification of speed violators.

Section control system on Dutch A4
Since the beginning of June, average vehicle speed is being monitored on the Dutch A4 between Hoofddorp and Nieuw-Vennep. During the testing period, motorists caught speeding on this section will not be fined.
The section control system is active between hectometer indicator 13.1 and 16.3 in both directions.

Early Warning System in RTL4 News
Yesterday RTL4 News aired a video report on the Early Warning System. This system detects suspucious vehicle movements on business parks and sends a security warning before an actual burglary has taken place. Dacolian developed the software in cooperation with TNO.

Vialis Trajectory Control on dutch 'A4'
Vialis will realise trajectory control on the dutch route 'A4' between Hoofddorp and Nieuw-Vennep. Gatso equipment will be used with Dacolian software for licence plate recognition and vehicle poolmatching. Multiple trajectory control projects use INTRADA ALPR and INTRADA VPM software.
